Having identified sustainability as a top strategic priority in 2022, Marken undertook a stakeholder materiality assessment in 2023 to identify our critical areas of risk, and defined policies and metrics to guide our future efforts towards more transparently sustainable operations and best practice governance.

Our services and packaging are designed to reduce consumption of natural resources, minimize waste generated by our operations, and encourage high rates of reuse and recycling. By optimizing our energy selection and prioritizing renewable energy sources, we will minimize greenhouse gas emissions and reduce our carbon footprint.

EcoVadisシルバーメダル

We have been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Silver Medal for our commitment to sustainability. The EcoVadis medal is one of the most competitive sustainability awards, and we are proud to be among the top 5% of companies in our industry. 

EcoVadis provides the leading solution for monitoring sustainability in supply chains, evaluating more than 150,000 companies on their environmental performance across 21 indicators, divided into four categories: environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The evaluation score demonstrates how well a company has integrated the principles of Sustainability/CSR into its business and management systems.

ESG Transparency Award

We received the 2024 ESG Transparency Award, presented by EUPD Research during European Sustainability Week. This prestigious recognition highlights organizations that demonstrate excellence in transparency and accountability in their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts. 

Our commitment to ESG drives us to continue reducing our environmental impact through initiatives such as reusable packaging in our closed-loop service, optimizing distribution networks to reduce waste and carbon emissions, and fostering inclusion and belonging across our organization.

私たちの目標は、スコープ3の排出量を測定および制御し、2030年までにCO2eの総排出量を2022のベースラインから47%削減することです。Polar Speedは、マーケットベース方法論の下ですでに再生可能電力を97%使用しており、レポートのエネルギー削減戦略（19ページを参照）で説明されているように、2035年までには再生可能電力を100%使用することを確約しています。これらの目標は、1.5°C削減軌道と一致しており、SBTi（科学に基づく目標設定イニシアチブ）ガイダンスに従って設定されています。
